Have you had a chance to to hear about Pacific Northwest Cupcakes yet? I was recently asked to provide an unbiased review (in exchange for a cake) and let me tell you, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Let me start off by saying that I normally judge a cake by it's frosting. And the more frosting, the better! I'm mean, the cake part isn't really necessary, right? Well the Butternut and Fig Compote cake by PNW Cupcakes may have just converted me. This cake was only lightly frosted (vanilla bean) and yet I didn't care one bit. The cake was moist, absolutely delicious and the flavor combination was perfect for the new fall season. And the best part is, all of their cakes are made with local, organic and all natural ingredients!
p.s. I didn't get a chance to taste the two cupcakes we also received. But considering that my 5 year old inhaled them, I'm pretty sure that they were pretty good! And one was gluten free!
